Up until the 1.3 patch the problem remains persistent. Also worth noting that the developers aren't responding to these topics.

Yup so It's already thursday, and I'm still unable to play the game. The game crashes upon startup on dev splash screen. If I disable to steam community, I can manage to get to the menu, but once I start a new game it freezes on loading screen.

I've tried everything that was thrown at us including:

-Manually installing directx from sleeping dogs installation folder
-Verifying cache
-Running the game in admin mode and with disabled desktop composition checked
-Video drivers, service pack, net framework, directx, everything up-to-date

I've also tried a whole bunch of solutions posted on the steam forum, but still no luck. Hopefully next patch will fix this.

Yes we are responding.. Patch 1.3 has a system in place to enable us to see errors better, so we can try and work out the issue.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1410 <- this is the thread discussing this issue (if people keep making new threads then the msg gets lost across multiple threads and we cannot reply to all easily)
